Overview
Probes is a developer tool for embedded engineering work in VS Code. It helps you turn board notes, build output, logs, and debugging context into a more repeatable workflow.
Use these docs when you want to:
- start Probes from VS Code
- connect your account session to the extension
- understand the account setup step before VS Code runtime sign-in
- send model requests through the Probes gateway
- prepare an embedded board workspace before you ask for help
The docs are intentionally focused on public product usage: setup, account sign-in, model-gateway behavior, and embedded workflow practice.
Recommended Path
Section titled “Recommended Path”- Install the VS Code extension and complete browser sign-in.
- Confirm the account page shows billing, entitlement, and support state.
- Start the VS Code extension sign-in flow so runtime access is completed inside VS Code.
- Open a real firmware workspace with build scripts, board notes, and logs.
- Ask Probes to inspect one small task before widening the workflow.
Product Boundary
Section titled “Product Boundary”Probes keeps account, billing, quota, runtime access, and audit state in Probes-owned services. Public docs describe how to use the product; they do not define operational authority or deployment state.
